Tide of Oriental, Wanke

The project is located at the intersection of Jianggan district and Haining, with the boundary of Haining city in the north, Xiasha institution of higher learning in the south, Qiantang river in the east and Hangzhou bay expressway in the west. In such a geographical location and cultural background, the tide and waves became the entry point for the design of the landscape wall. At the same time, the texture of ancient stones was extracted. The concise and refined sculpture were compared to the magnificent Qiantang river.

Walking in the garden, although the space is not large, but the visual and spatial sense in each node is different. The layout of the three-in-one courtyard: hall, courtyard and platform follow the construction of the three levels of material environment, situation and artistic conception in the design method, and unfold step by step to make the whole space full of changes in details and create a unique cultural landscape. The landscape design at the entrance continues the style of the new Chinese style architecture, with simplified treatment of lines, materials, textures and other elements. More than four meters of frame and high wall occlusion, sequence of characteristics of the lamp lane to meet, forming a frame-style sense of composition.

Enter inside the courtyard, what come on the face is the infinite outspread water surface that is like a mirror, the ground wave rushes sand granite the texture like water grain and its photograph echo, water and road are unidentified not real, make the space much a hazy feeling. The brunet stone material of waterscape bottom, let pool bottom add a composed. The tranquil water slowly flows into the bowl-shaped tree pool, in which three tallow trees with multiple stems stand. By using the art form of “borrowing scenery”, the wonderful trees in the courtyard behind the gate are introduced into the field of vision. A wall and a square stone are all sceneries.

On the other side, a number of stainless steel sculptures floating above the water, mimicking the pile buffering method that used to resist the qiantang spring tide in ancient , are highly scattered and break the overly serious spatial order. The adjacent water platform in front of the club encircles the whole building and is set as a rest space beside the water. The pure and square architecture is more tender in the ripples of the water, and the beauty of nature is painted with the brush of nature. Flowing water and green branches make the courtyard lively and quiet.

Light breeze, light, bamboo, water, wind and other artistic symbols into the environment, from time to time to jump up the small fountain also brought people in and out of a small surprise and small expectations. Each little detail is the embodiment of craftsmanship, no matter be the space encloses close, qualitative change, the union of fictitious and real or landscape infiltration, all reflected extremely rich “meaning” with “rhyme” Oriental tone. We hope to infect people through design and make life a little slower and simpler in the poetic space.
