Chenyan Wang is a New York–based landscape designer and researcher working across landscape architecture, climate resilience, and visual storytelling. Coming from a background in both architecture and journalism, her work explores how data, design, and narrative can translate complex environmental challenges into spatial and cultural frameworks for public understanding.

Currently working in landscape practice in New York City on projects related to green infrastructure, public space, and climate adaptation, she is particularly interested in aquatic urbanism, shifting territories, and the future of vulnerable coastal and island communities.

Her recent talk, “Data, Design & AI: A Young Designer’s Climate Agency,” was presented at Harvard University through the Boston Society of Landscape Architects (BSLA), where she reflected on the role of design representation, climate goverance, and emerging technologies in shaping new forms of environmental imagination and resilience.
