The Casablanca development in Pozuelo de Alarcón in Madrid is a development of 168 homes with 5 hectares of landscaped outdoor spaces. The landscape architecture project seeks to create a framework and space for leisure and recreation for all the inhabitants of the development.
The project is based on an ecological premise, whereby the grey water from the homes is channelled to the lakes that articulate the landscaping and is filtered with biofilters and used to irrigate the entire garden.
Large lakes are proposed along the area and they are surrounded by large lawns for the leisure and enjoyment of all users, large patches of perennials and grasses have been planted bordering these lawns, as well as a variety of trees, which generate a dynamic space.
The design and hard surface materials choice of materials unify the project while meandering paths were generated through the entire garden to create variety and different living areas, sunny areas, shady areas, exposed areas or more intimate areas, that allow the garden to be enjoyed in different ways.
