One Qube is located in the central business district of Gurugram, NCR, home to major IT parks and companies in India. This modern workspace is conveniently situated next to the metro station and the NH8 highway, ensuring seamless connectivity. Designed to accommodate esteemed tenants, One Qube addresses the evolving needs of the corporate world and is designed to be the office space for the future -the space is enhanced by a beautiful urban green landscape, emphasizing sustainability at its core and certified 5-star GRIHA-rated eco-friendly commercial spaces. One Qube stands as a benchmark for eco-friendly commercial spaces.

The landscape design aims to develop both outdoor and semi-outdoor areas, including a covered drop-off zone and an atrium, across the roughly 3.3-acre site. A key opportunity identified was the large open space in front of the corporate building, which could be transformed into a distinctive landscape that enhances the building’s frontage. This landscaped area was designed to accommodate various functions that promote employee activities and well-being, as well as to host occasional corporate events.

To establish better design integration with the office building already designed and being constructed, the angular geometry featured on the building façade was extracted and extended as the landscape concept. The angular geometry is used to form the key spatial identity of the design such as the central lawn and the associated pathway system. This concept is further extended through a series of sculptural elements like the water features, pavilions, seating planters, gate features and even the boundary wall.

The building sits in a meticulously designed outdoor space. With geometrically shaped patches of grass, stone walkways, and strategically placed trees and shrubs, the landscape design aims to create an elegant and modern aesthetic that complements the building’s design and unites architecture with the landscape. A significant portion of the front of the building is dedicated to a well-maintained, green space defined by a layer of pathways. This central grand lawn gives the building a perfect foreground and acts as a setting for the architecture. The clean lines and the high-quality material and immaculate detailing help to portray a grade A office building with a strong corporate identity.

The design undoubtedly conveys a sense of modern, confident and yet striking space set in the heart of a fast-growing city and sets a new benchmark in corporate landscape design where nature is the key driver.

Entering the property through the angular and iconic entrance gate, visitors are greeted with a spacious open plaza and the grand lawn. This lawn stretches out before them, inviting them to relax and enjoy the scenery. Existing mature trees provide privacy and shading, creating a sense of seclusion from the busy and dusty city. At the centre of the plaza stands a triangular water fountain, which babbles and splashes with a soothing rhythm. This stepped dry fountain also functions as a stage when the fountain is switched off adding flexibility of usage.

The triangular sculptural planters, placed strategically in a geometric pattern along the arrival plaza, add interest as well as provide seating areas for the congregation. As people sit and chat, they are surrounded by the vibrant greenery, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that encourages social interaction.

From sensitive landscape planning that fosters interaction with nature the design innovation is carried further around the lobby and drop off areas to maximize the arrival experience. A dry landform garden acts as a backdrop of the reception area where nature meets art. Taking cues from the geometric architectural form, it is a composition of trapezoidal stone-scape juxtaposed with green planters and dotted with tall feature trees. The art of gardening here complements the architecture to create a perfect backdrop for the reception desk.

The unique ribbon shaped water sculpture is placed on the centre axis of the project, serving as a focal point at the drop off. It conceived as the three-dimensional interplay of the triangular lines of the building façade. It draws water from the pool and release through the end tips, symbolizing an endless and continuous flow of life. This majestic structure not only adds visual interest but also creates a soothing sound that fills the space with a sense of tranquility, immersing all who encounter it in a state of serenity. As visitors walk around the sculpture, they are able to appreciate its beauty from multiple angles enhancing their experience. Art and water form another unique symphony at the drop off area where a water sculpture welcomes workers and visitors with its striking form and soothing sound.
