Puertos is an urbanization in the northern suburb of the city of Buenos Aires where we had the task of developing various common areas of the entire complex. The Ports Destination Center (CDD) is made up of the first institutional buildings and the outdoor areas that link them to each other and to the surrounding lagoons. The landscape intervention is made up of three linked projects carried out at different times: the Plaza Liquida, the Rambla Urbana and the Patio.

The Plaza Liquida (liquid square) is a floating infrastructure that enables a calm area of water for swimming while also functioning as a dock for mooring boats. It is a modular and geometric device that proposes a new way of connecting with the water of the site.
The Rambla Urbana connects with the Plaza Liquida as a large urban floor as a public entrance to the water. At the same time, it connects the existing buildings and proposes a free arrival towards the water. The hammered granite Rambla incorporates the art program and the existing urban trees linked to the commercial premises.

El Patio (courtyard) was designed in conjunction with Torrado architects, author of the building that surrounds it, proposing a place of permanence and arrival linked to a restaurant, a store and a store for children. The Patio is made up of a series of floors and flower beds with mainly native flora that attracts insects and birds. Its design is articulated in the center with the sculpture of Arthur Lescher and a new proposed water mirror gives it an actionable character. Lastly, the patio incorporates curved equipment designed site-specific together with Taller Numeros Primos and a circular flower shop designed together with Ordoñez Wenkze; these programs rest on a system of circular draining floors that allow submersion within the vegetation. The botanical palette is linked to various dynamics of the surrounding ecosystem, functioning as a biological micro-patch that in turn incorporates large trees to generate shade.

Role of the entrant in the project: Landscape architect and developer. Other developoers: Puertos.
