This project reimagines urban living by rebuilding the relationship between people and nature. Through an extreme vertical greening strategy, we seamlessly integrate the residential entrance, commercial frontage, and inner garden spaces, creating a multi-layered, livable “green valley” within a compact urban site. It offers residents a tranquil retreat from the city, where they can wander through nature, unwind, and recharge.

Vertical Valleys
The 60-meter linear frontage of the main entrance originally felt cold and oversized, resembling a public plaza. We transformed this “public scale” into a warm, human-centered experience through spatial segmentation and vertical planting. Layered green terraces respond to the site’s 1.5-meter elevation difference, stretching greenery from ground level up to the rooftops. Three lush circulation paths break the rigidity of the space, guiding residents through a gradual, immersive return home.
Strategically placed evergreen trees obscure direct views, inviting residents to meander along a curving, plant-filled path. Soft paving lines echo the rhythm of the vertical greenery, dissolving hard edges and creating a gentle spatial flow. Vehicular, pedestrian, and fire routes are naturally integrated into the landscape, balancing clarity with comfort.

Forest Corridor
To address the site’s separation from the southern commercial area by a greenbelt, we introduced the concept of “forest patches.” Curved planting beds and layered greenery establish an open yet guided path system, encouraging pedestrian flow into the street-facing retail area. Pocket plazas and seating areas activate the street edge, enhancing social interaction and vibrancy.

Tranquil Pond Shadows
Deep within the site, a functional fire access zone has been reimagined as a serene water courtyard. After passing through the narrow green valley, residents arrive at an open, reflective pond. Elegant trees appear as sculptures on water platforms, adding visual drama and calm. The contrast in scale and scene creates a dynamic spatial rhythm and a sense of discovery.

Vision and Value
Beyond landscape design, this project is a holistic response to high-density urban challenges. By extending green life vertically, we create a garden-like living experience that enhances ecological quality and a sense of belonging. It offers not just a place to live, but a place to feel grounded and inspired. Here, architecture and nature converge, and community and city co-evolve, forming a poetic, life-filled urban sanctuary.
